Visit

Quy Hall is not generally open to the public- but there’s still plenty to enjoy in our beautiful village and surrounding countryside even if you’re not visiting the house itself.

We are delighted to offer small group tours through the Historic Houses Invitation to View scheme (see below) but these must be pre-booked; we are not open to the public. If you can’t book a tour but still want to enjoy the setting well….

Why not stop off on your way to Anglesey Abbey, and take a walk down the lime-lined Avenue through Quy Park for a view from the public footpath across Quy Water to Quy Hall? Or explore one of the many footpaths running from Quy to Lode, and over to Fen Ditton and Horningsea?

Revive yourself with a drink at The White Swan in the village, or a coffee at The Missing Sock if you're on the "top road" heading to Bottisham – and if you've really overdone it, you can always check into the spa at The Quy Mill Hotel.

If you are visiting our village, please do keep the Countryside Code in mind: follow signs and stick to paths, keep any dogs under control, leave gates as you find them, and most importantly, be friendly and say hello!

And if you’d like to linger a little longer, why not stay on the Estate at The Gatehouse, located in the heart of the village?

Quy Mill Hotel

Once our village’s historic watermill, Quy Mill Hotel & Spa is a secluded haven offering accommodation, meeting facilities and superb food, plus an expansive Health Club with a pool and spa treatments.

The Missing Sock

This alternatively-minded cafe and venue has something for everyone: watch out for events from DJ nights to bouncy castle bonanzas. Come to explore their outdoor spaces (spot the London bus bar!) or simply enjoy a coffee and slice of amazing cake.

Quy Village Stores

Family-run, this well-stocked village shop and Post Office provides all the everyday essentials required for your stay in Quy: beers, wines and spirits, top-up grocery items, fresh produce and food to go.

The White Swan

Now under new ownership, The White Swan is at the heart of village life in Quy. This traditional village pub serves well-kept ales, beers, wines and delicious pub food (including stone-baked pizzas!).

Private Tours

Book on to one of our small group tours for a sneak peak behind the curtains at Quy Hall itself. But be warned- places are limited and we only offer a few a year so they book up fast!

Depending on the time of year you might see a snowdrop display to rival Anglesey Abbey, or a host of golden daffodils but whatever the time of year some things are guaranteed- a rare up close view of the amazing painted walls inside and some lively stories from the owner!

All tour bookings are managed through the Historic Houses’ Invitation to View scheme-you don’t have to be a member but you might want to join after you see all the amazing privately-owned places you can visit!
