We welcome visitors in many different ways to the estate

Visit us

There are many ways to enjoy the historic Quy Hall Estate. We are delighted to offer small group tours to Quy Hall itself (pre-booking required) and occasionally we offer tours of our farm and environmental work at Little Wilbraham. Several times a year we also host public events in Quy Park. See below for details…

But if you just want to wander through beautiful countryside, there are around 10km of footpaths around the Estate, from which you can enjoy spectacular fens capes and see almost every corner of our farming and land management work. For a special view, why not walk down the lime-lined Avenue through Quy Park for a view from the public footpath across Quy Water to Quy Hall? Wherever you go please do keep the Countryside Code in mind: follow signs and stick to paths, keep any dogs under control, pick up their poo (which can cause miscarriage in livestock), leave gates as you find them, and most importantly, be friendly and say hello!

And if you’d like to linger a little longer, why not stay on the Estate at The Gatehouse, located in the heart of the village?

Visit the Farm

In 2025 we opened up the farm at Little Wilbraham to visitors for the first time, participating in Open Farm Sunday and hosting a few walks for a local environmental group and university students. We take small groups around the farm to see how we are implementing regenerative farming practices on our land, to spot the cows on our conservation grazing site, to see our biodiversity projects and to understand our wetland management. Keep an eye on our website and social media for details of future farm walks and openings.

You don’t have to come on a pre-booked tour to enjoy our farm: there are public footpaths running down “Long Drove” and “Short Drove” from which you can see most of our land. Park on the High Street in Little Wilbraham and follow public footpath signs!

If you have a community group that you think would be interested in seeing our work, get in contact to discuss a pre-booked group visit, but please note we do not have facilities on the farm such as toilets or shelters so this may not be suitable for all groups!

Events

We host several events in Quy Park including the Cambridge Country Show and the Ancient Oak Medieval Fayre. We’re sure you’ll have a wonderful day, whether it’s seeing knights jousting or seeing rural traditional crafts demonstrations.

Tickets can usually be booked in advance or bought on the gate and there is parking on site. Please check with each event for all the details & pricing.

Please note that we do not run the events ourselves so if you have any questions as stallholders or visitors, then please contact the relevant event directly.

Tours of Quy Hall

Book on to one of our small group tours for a sneak peak behind the curtains at Quy Hall itself. But be warned- places are limited and we only offer a few a year so they book up fast!

Depending on the time of year you might see a snowdrop display to rival Anglesey Abbey, or a host of golden daffodils but whatever the time of year some things are guaranteed- a rare up close view of the amazing painted walls inside and some lively stories from the owner!

All tours are managed through the Historic Houses’ Invitation to View scheme-you don’t have to be a member but you must pre-book. Learn more about our tours and book here.
